2024 has flown by, and as we
approach Christmas and New
Year we can look back at an
extremely successful and
satisfying year for the
World Boxing Federation.
With an increase in 20% of
the number of WBF title
fights from 2023, we
continue to grow and expand
around the globe.
This year the WBF hosted
title fights in Romania,
Egypt, Tanzania, South
Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria,
Colombia, Malta, USA,
France, Germany, Austria,
South Korea, Philippines,
Sweden, Switzerland,
Thailand, Albania, Spain,
Netherlands and Malta.
We take great pride in our
team, our representatives
around the world, our
promoters, our fighters - we
are affectionately known
(and proudly known) as being
a family, and in life family
is most important thing in
the world.
I would like to take this
opportunity to thank our
Executive Director Chris
Rosen for his hard work, as
well as each and every
person involved with the
WBF, in whatever capacity
for their time, effort,
dedication and commitment to
the WBF and look forward to
even more improved 2025.
Certainly there are areas in
which improvements can be
made, and we will address
those areas with vigour and
transparency as we continue
to strive for excellence,
integrity and transparency.
I would also like to take
time to commemorate those
WBF members who sadly passed
away in 2024, and especially
my dear friend, brother and
colleague Eddie Marshall - a
giant of a man who is
greatly missed.
The festive season is one
for celebration and one for
spending quality time with
one’s family. I wish you all
a Merry Christmas and a
happy, safe, healthy and
successful 2025.
