Having won the title almost
exactly one year ago in Denmark,
Albanian World Boxing Federation
(WBF) World Heavyweight Champion
Erzen Rrustemi remained a “road
warrior” when he made his first
defense on Saturday night, March
3, in Karlsruhe, Germany.
The fight going out live on
Pay-Per-View in Germany via
ranfighting.de, Rrustemi made
short work of late substitute
challenger Juan Pedro
Guglielmetti from Argentina,
ending matters impressively at
1:49 of the second round.
After an even first round,
Rrustemi knocked his foe down
midway through the second, but
Guglielmetti managed to beat the
count of referee Ingo Barrabas.
However, when Rrustemi followed
up and scored a second
knock-down it was all over as
Barrabas reached the count of
ten.
With 2500 lively spectators at
the Ufgauhalle,
Switzerland-based Rrustemi
improved his professional record
to 13-0 (11), while Guglielmetti
drops to 11-4 (9).
