Former All-Africa Super Bantamweight
champion Tatenda Biningu, 14-1 (8),
continues his climb up the ranks,
when he goes for his second World
Boxing Federation (WBF) title on
Saturday July 13 in Harare,
Zimbabwe.
The 22-year-old, who´s sole defeat
came in his 2019 debut, won the WBF
All Africa title in August of 2022,
and has since added five more wins
to his record and moved up two
weight divisions.
Now he will attempt to go to the
next level, when he fights former
Tanzanian champion Sadiki Momba,
29-10-3 (14), for the vacant WBF
Intercontinental Super Featherweight
title.
Momba (35) is a very experienced
operator, having boxed in eight
different countries besides his
native Tanzania.
He will fight Biningu as the
underdog, but will hardly be
intimidated by going to his
opponents back-yard, and is
certainly the best opponent the
local man has faced to date.
The winner could likely find himself
challenging for world honours next,
so the stakes are very high for both
men.
Biningu vs. Momba headlines a card
promoted by former WBF world
Middleweight champion Charles
Manyushi.
